2Elthorne enjoys an elevated position above the road with panoramic views across Porlock Bay. The sitting room, which has a log fire, and dining room are on the ground floor at the front of the property enjoying the superb views. The kitchen is to the rear of the property with a utility room leading to a large twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom and toilet. Upstairs, there are three further bedrooms; the two front bedrooms are doubles with lovely views across Porlock Bay, and the back bedroom which is a twin room overlooking the large garden. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, toilet and hand basin. We provide duck feather pillows, but please note on your booking if you would rather have synthetic pillows. Please note, the garden has some steep areas accessed by steps that are unsuitable for young children. A maximum of two dogs are welcome by prior arrangement at an additional fee of £15 per dog. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time. Sorry, but we do not allow stag or hen parties. The property will be ready from 4 pm on your arrival day. Please depart by 10 am on the day of departure. Please leave the property tidy and clean so that we can get it ready on time for our next guests. Elthorne is available for week bookings with changeover on Friday. Short breaks are also available. Strictly no smoking.
The kitchen at Elthorne has an electric double oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The sitting room has a smart television with DVD player. Wifi is available throughout the property. There is an iron, ironing board and hairdryers available in the property All electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. There is a wood-burning fire in the sitting room for which we will provide some logs and kindling during the colder months. If further logs are required, these can be purchased in the village. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if required. There are duck feather pillows in the property; if you would prefer synthetic pillows, please make a note on your booking. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt and pepper and oil available. Household sundries such as washing up liquid and toilet rolls will also be available in the cottage.
The large garden is beautifully landscaped and offer many areas to enjoy the panoramic views, sitting or eating al-fresco. The garden is fully enclosed, fenced all the way around and with pedestrian gates on both of the garden path entrances. There is a garage which can be used to store a vehicle, bicycles or other outdoor equipment securely if required. Please note, some parts of the garden are steep and, therefore, we do not recommend them as suitable for young children.
There are two off-road parking spaces outside the property. From each parking area there are steps up to the front door. N.B. please ensure vehicles are parked within Elthorne boundary and not on the grass verge opposite. Any additional cars will need to be parked in the village car parks, thanks you for your cooperation.

Wonderful house, well equipped and clean and great location
Elthorne is an ideally located for the village and enjoying local amenities. It's usp is It's amazing views out to sea and across the Vale to Bossington hill. We really relaxed at Elthorne, it's spacious, comfortable and very well equipped - ideal for a small party of friends for a week's holiday.

Beautiful clean and comfortable house with everything we needed for a lovely holiday. The view and the garden are amazing, although lots of steps and steep drops for our blind dog! We knew this and were prepared though. The area is great - lots of interesting and useful shops in Porlock and Porlock....

Hanging bread milk and conserves for our arrival was lovely. The property was very well stocked with everything we needed.
